An email from Superintendent Dr. Harrison on March 11 announced that Ms. Gail Krieger, Director of Pupil Personnel Services (PPS), will be stepping down from her role at the end of this school year.
Dr. Harrison praised her for the work she has done, saying “During her 14 years in Irvington, Gail has been a passionate advocate for our students and demonstrated an impressive commitment to the District.”
Ms. Krieger has been a part of the Irvington schools community for 14 years in various leadership roles, and has served as Director of PPS for the last four years. As Director of PPS, Krieger is responsible for the implementation, leadership and support, scheduling and assignments, professional development, and the evaluation of pupil personnel workers (facilitators between family and schools).
The district will begin searching for a new person to fill the role of Director of PPS immediately. They will be looking for someone who is an “educational leader with the skills, knowledge and disposition to support our school community’s commitment to educational excellence and serving the needs of every student.”
