Winter track kicked off their season with the annual Big Chill meet at Yorktown High School this past Saturday. Ironic name since the team was met with mild temperatures and sunny skies.

The Bulldogs are proud of their performance this past weekend.

Matthew Jacoby, junior, reported a personal record in his team’s 4×200 race. His relay team got third in their heat, which was the fastest heat. He also recalls his massive 4 inch personal record in the high jump. “Five-eight is in my future,” he says, emphasizing his high hopes for a huge PR.

Indy Minkoff, senior, says the Bulldogs did well at the Big Chill on Saturday. Indy finished first in the 600 meter. He also anchored a first-place finish in the 4×400 relay.

After the unique tradition of an indoor track competition held outdoors to start the year, now the team heads inside for the season, competing at the NY Armory on Monday, December 4 and Rockland Community College later this month.
