Varsity Bowling Pre-Season Preview

By Nick Grados

The Varsity Bowling team has revenge to take care of this season.

Last year, they came up just short of sectionals after all of their hard work. “It’s always a hard thing to work so hard and not accomplish your goal,” Senior Captain Jake Epple stated. “We came up just short of sectionals last year, but we have been looking really good in practice so I’m hopeful we get in.”

This means that Epple is done with losing and ready to come back this year as a leader and a winner. He had a lot of personal success last year and is looking to continue it into this season.

The team has always had a lot of success and will likely gain more this season with many returning and new bowlers. Bowling isn’t the most popular sport in Irvington, but there is always a large group of seniors that play and do very well.

The team is also known to be very fun. The season just started this week and there have been reports by Captain Jake Epple that there is already lots of good energy and teamwork. Lastly, the team is very excited to be back together and bowling.
