Field Hockey Ride Five-Game Win Streak

by Elise Harcsar

Irvington girls field hockey has been on a five-game winning streak so far with the exception of a tie from their recent game against Hastings.

Last Tuesday, field hockey had a victory for their homecoming game against Harrison. The team beat Harrison with a score of 2-1. Goals were made by Skye Bosshart (senior) and Dani Stassa (senior).

The field hockey team lined up for the national anthem on homecoming night.

Dressed in their blackout themed attire on the new bleachers, the student section cheered on field hockey during this competitive game. The new bleachers and noise from the student section pulled together the spirit of a Friday night homecoming game.

This past Tuesday and Friday, the field hockey team beat Rye Neck twice.

On Tuesday, goals were made by Emmaline Lebuhn (sophomore), Anders Knapp (sophomore), Malka Halliwell (junior), and Dani Stassa which tallied a score of 4-0.

Field hockey also beat Rye Neck this Friday with a score of 1-0. Accounting for their recent wins, field hockey certainly have a victorious rest of their season to look forward to.
