Irvington Boys Basketball Senior Night

by Jarrett Ourman

On February 9th, the Irvington Boys Basketball team held their senior night to honor the Class of 26’ seniors in their final stretch of basketball games as a Bulldog.

After the Junior Varsity team got a huge win, the Varsity squad started the night with a ceremony for the seniors. They announced their names and took a picture with their families. The seniors were given a heartfelt message before sharing a message that they left for the team.

The Bulldogs jumped in front early and went up big, led by Senior Nick Grados. Grados had an incredible double-double, with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Seniors Alex Shevrin (6pts 4rbs 6ast), Brady Cole (5pts 2rbs 2ast), and Riley Hein (11pts 14rbs) also made important contributions.

This game resulted in a statement win for the Bulldogs, as they came on top 79 – 40. Every person on the roster played in this game. They played great team basketball, trying to look for the extra pass and get everyone on the box score.

Grados, who showcased all of his skills, said, “I felt like it was a very winnable game from the jump, and I wanted to do everything I could to get my fellow seniors a win on our final home game of the season.”
