The Irvington Wrestling team recently competed in their final regular season match on Tuesday January 31, before sectionals. Sectionals will take place at Hendrick Hudson High School on Saturday, February 11. They currently have an impressive record of 11-2.
The team recently performed very well at Edgemont on Tuesday January 31. Irvington had three wrestlers, Ingmar Ast, Canaan Salles-Spar and Morgan Balkin, go to counties this year. All three athletes are seniors and have very strong records.
Sophomore, Jack van der Spuy, one of Irvington’s top wrestlers, is looking forward to competing in sectionals on Saturday.
