The Girls Varsity Soccer team is up and running with their 2022 season. With a record of 5-2 as of Saturday, September 17, the lady bulldogs have a bright season ahead of them.
At this point in their season, the girls have only been defeated by Sleepy Hollow and Pearl River. However, some of their biggest competitors this year include Albertus Magnus, Briarcliff, and Bronxville.
Many of the girls entered this season with high hopes. “Most of the players have returned so we have almost the same team as last year. We are closer to each other and have grown to know each other’s styles of play.” said Junior and third-year varsity player, Keira Nyarady.
Last year, the ladies finished out with a strong season. Due to the fact that they have many returning players, this season is expected to be just as good, if not better. Keira Nyarady can admit that she can definitely feel as if the pressure is on to carry out another successful season. Nonetheless, the team works to handle this stress by collaboration and communication amongst each other, according to Nyarady.
