Unfortunately, the Bulldog’s boys and girls 2021 varsity basketball seasons have come to a close after a play-in round exits from both teams. Despite this, our Bulldogs worked extremely hard day-in and day-out to put together another successful season with quite unusual circumstances to say the least. Here are the results for their respective Southern Westchester Group three playoff games:
Varsity Girls Basketball: The No. 3 ranked Bulldogs fell to the No. 2 ranked Pleasantville Panthers in an extremely close semifinal game by a score of 53-51.
Despite the abnormal season this year due to COVID-19, our Bulldogs represented the school with utmost pride and put forth another amazing season.
Congratulations Bulldogs, and a special congratulations to seniors Grace Thybulle, Kate Hanna, Aine Cleary, and Kayla Mizrachi on an amazing girls basketball career!
Varsity Boys Basketball: The No. 5 ranked Irvington Bulldogs fell to the No. 4 ranked Valhalla Vikings in a lively quarterfinal match by a score of 71-61.
Congratulations to the boys varsity basketball team on a great season despite the many new setbacks and regulations that were put into place!
A special congratulations to seniors Edward Hanlon, Andrew Brereton, Liam Pakola, and Jake Stein on a great boys basketball career!
