Google launches chatbot to compete with Bing Chat and ChatGPT

by Marcus Canton

Google’s new “Bard” AI was launched this Tuesday in the US and UK. This new AI was created by Google to rival Bing Chat and ChatGPT. This new AI was quickly created in fear of getting outdated Bard was Google’s attempt to with the evolving technology. This AI was released as an experiment but was the company excited with the outstanding results.

Bard was tested in a live demo by Jack Krawczyk, the product lead for Bard, and was tested with real-life examples. To show the sheer power of technology Krawczyk demonstrated a brainstorming session. He was able to brainstorm an idea for his son’s birthday party using his own criteria, click between ideas, and generate email invites. Google understands that nothing about AI is flawless but is encouraged by the initial success.

The introduction of another AI bot only exposed more flaws in the designs. For example, there was a privacy breach in OpenAI. The breach allowed a user to access other people’s chat histories. The service was shut down until the next day. The history feature still remains down for certain users as well.
