On Thursday April 25, President Joe Biden will be in Irvington for a fundraiser, hosted by actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones and fashion designer Eileen Fisher, among others, at the home of residents Douglas and Zeta-Jones.
In response, the Irvington school district will follow an early release schedule in order to allow students and staff to get home safely and in a timely manner. Additionally, all after school sports and activities are canceled.
Area school districts Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Tarrytown and Hastings-on-Hudson also decided on an early release schedule.
The police are warning people that driving after 2:00 pm in the area is not advised due to security measures and road closures that will create additional traffic.
Police stated that there will not be an impact on the Hudson line.
