On Saturday, January 28th, the Irvington Winter Track team competed in a multitude of events at the Westchester County Championships at the Armory. We had three different athletes earn medals across different events.

Senior Miles Demerest earned the best time in the county for the 600 Meter. He ran a time of 1:26.86 and became the county champion.

Senior Lila Juenger finished second in the 1500 Meter Racewalk in the county. She ran a time of 8:21.55. Junior Ben Kasoff placed fourth in the pole vault with a height of 10-06.00.

The team also had success during the Section 1 Novice Meet at the Armory on Wednesday February 1st.

Sophomore Josh Lee placed fifth in the 55M hurdle with a time of 10.24. Senior Joanna Paul placed third in the 3000M with a time of 12:20.94.

Irvington dominated the 1500M Race Walk with junior Kenna Bradley placing first with a time of 9:39.05, and Sophia DeCecchis placing second with a time of 9:43.8.

The boys 4×200 finished in sixth place with a team of senior Leo Silverman, sophomores Josh Lee and Roy Halee, and freshman Chris Callahan. They earned a time of 1:47.65.

The boys 4×400 finished fourth. This team included senior Ryan Liu, sophomores Luke Mitchell and Noah Strow, and freshman Alex Shevrin. They ran a time of 4:13.22

To cap it off, the boys 4×800 earned sixth place with an all freshman team of Zachary Milun, Kevin Lyons, Declan Lyons, and Michael Carron. The young team ran a time of 10:13.28.

It was a great two events for the Bulldogs and we will continue to keep it rolling as the Winter Track season nears its end.
