Superintendent of schools Kris Harrison announced that Assistant Principal Ms. DeFilippis will continue to serve as the interim principal for the remainder of the school year. After this school year, she will return to her role as Assistant Principal, as a new principal will be hired.
In order to support Ms. DeFilippis throughout the remainder of the school year, Ms. Patricia Cyganovich has been hired as Assistant Principal. Ms. Cyganovich brings veteran school leadership, and will be present at IHS approximately three days a week.
Dr. Harrison and Dr. Duffy will continue to help out Ms. DeFilippis in the high school. In an email to students, Dr. Harrison said “Honestly, I am looking forward to seeing you all on a regular basis and sharing in the many experiences that mark the success of the school year.”
