Irv Forecast: Moderate Temps Tue and Wed, Rainy and Chilly Otherwise

By Josh Chang

The weather this week in Irvington will be nothing to write home about. With the exception of Tuesday and Wednesday, chilly temps and rain will prevail. A coastal nor’easter late-week will bring stormy conditions, with inches of rain expected and even a few late-season flurries of snow possible.

Monday

Monday will be quite dreary. Cloudy in the morning and light rain in the afternoon as a weak low pressure system passes south of us. Chilly, with a high temp in the upper 40s.

Rain clears by midnight. Monday night low near 40.

Tuesday

Tuesday will be a bit more pleasant than Monday. Partly cloudy in the morning, with more clouds moving in after noon. High temp near 60.

Clear overnight. Low in the low 40s.

Wednesday

Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week, with a high in the upper 60s. It will once again be partly cloudy in the morning and mostly cloudy in the afternoon.

Conditions will begin to deteriorate overnight Wednesday, with showers moving in in the early hours of the morning. Low in the mid-40s.

Thursday

A nor’easter will track up the coast late-week, causing conditions Thursday to be unpleasant. Rain will continue, hard at times, for nearly the entire day. Temps will struggle to break above Wednesday night’s lows, with a high in the mid- to upper 40s.

Cold and rainy overnight. There is even a possibility that some late-season snow briefly mixes in early Friday morning, but it is very unlikely that it sticks. Low in the 30s.

Friday & Next Weekend

Friday will likely be frigid as the cold front trailing the nor’easter passes through the region, with a high in the upper 30s or low 40s possible. Rain likely, especially in the morning.

Conditions next weekend will probably return to near normal as the nor’easter exits to the north.
