In the upcoming year (2017-2018), the English department will be dropping two courses from its offerings — Themes in American Literature and Presentational Speaking.
The English department designed a survey for juniors and seniors in order to gauge interest in the semester-long courses in order to determine the course offerings for 2017-18. Themes in American Literature and Presentational Speaking were eliminated from the course selection for the upcoming year, but will be reinstated the following year.
In addition, different literature courses will be removed from the following year, as the other two selectives are added. These new changes will be exemplified and significant as students begin to plan their schedules for the next year.
