On Sunday, October 18, 2026, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, California. The event was highly anticipated, yet many were angry at the large number of models that were influencers, such as Kylie Jenner, who wore a 50 million dollar fantasy bra, encrusted with 21,000 diamonds.
The show was separated into seven sections; Spring Awakening, Vintage Victoria, Summer Fever, the PINK Halftime Show, Autumn Changes, Winter Melody, and Winter Reprises. The PINK Halftime show received the most criticism, as it primarily featured influencers, and classic supermodels like Romee Strijd were dropped from the show. Jenner walked the runway in the Winter section, and faced backlash, as this was her first time walking the runway, and she was allowed to wear one of the primary pieces in the show. “I thought the Kylie Jenner fantasy bra was quite a statement,” said Owen Baumkirchner, Irvington sophomore. “I think it really came off in a way that may have seemed pompous as she’s known for being incredibly rich.”
The show featured model Barbara Palvin, who gave birth just five weeks before the event, and was able to walk the runway two times. Additionally, older models were featured in the show, including Adriana Lima, Rosie Huntington-Whitley, and Elsa Hosk. There were many musical performances at the event as well, with performances from KATSEYE, Megan Thee Stallion, Megan Moroney, and Tate McRae.
Moroney’s performance was not received well by the public, as the staging made it difficult for the models to get past Moroney while she was singing. “It really surprised me that the model rebounded really quickly and she still finished her walk,” said Derin Sarayli, Irvington sophomore. “I felt like the singers were blocking and interrupting the models and it made it seem like this was more for the singers than for the actual fashion show.”
