PTSA Crushes Concessions Once Again

By Henry Muzzy

Homecoming week was a blast! The football team capped off the week with a win against Edgemont on Saturday night. With homecoming week comes the PTSA Booster Club selling concessions at the sporting events! They have been doing this for years now and it has been a tradition that is welcomed by the community.

The PTSA was selling a variety of options at the Football game. The options ranged from candies and chips, to hot food. There were M&M’s, cookies, brownies, a variety of chips and other snacks. After being asked about the prices, freshman Jacob Wallach stated, “Decent, a box of popcorn was like 3 dollars, that’s what I got.”  One of the highlights amongst them was the brand new hot pretzel. Claire Muzzy talks on what her opinions were on the new pretzels. She said, “It was perfectly salted and very good.” Additionally before the first quarter ended, they had already sold out of the baked goods. They also served cold drinks which were nice for a hot September night.

I attended the homecoming football game Saturday night, where the Bulldogs took on Edgemont. After the marching band performance at halftime, I made my way to the concession stand. I got a burger and a gatorade. It was a good price. The burger was $5 and the gatorade was $2. Overall, I’d say the burger was decent. It was great to see them grilling it fresh right in front of you. Towards the end of the game, I went back for dessert. I got a bag of peanut M&M’s for $2.

All together, I believe the PTSA concession stand was a raging success. Before the game, the line was extremely long. It fizzled out a little during halftime but still remained busy through the entirety of the game. A big thanks to all of the volunteers who were working the concessions throughout the Homecoming Week!
