Tony’s Pizza on Broadway has always been a place very well known by students. A place that was frequented by many of them, and their families. Being a long time customer myself, I figured I should go and give a real review of this place.
The atmosphere is great just like most other pizzerias. Being recently repainted, the place looked very clean. Unfortunately, the time I went, Owner Tony wasn’t there so I was unable to conduct an interview.
Prices are very reasonable, and I’d say comparably or a little lower than competitors. Service was also very quick as I was in and out in under 5 minutes.
I wound up getting a chicken roll and a plain slice. Overall very good. The chicken roll was great and the dough was very soft. The sauce to dip it in is very good as well. The chicken to cheese ratio seems to be pretty much perfect and the product as a whole just works. As for the slice, it was a good slice of pizza. Not the best I’ve ever had but above average for sure. The crust is great and the sauce that I mentioned before works perfectly on it.
As for a number rating, the chicken roll has to get a 10 for me. I just can’t think of a better chicken roll that I’ve had and for that reason it has to get a 10 in my book. The plain slice gets an 8 from me. I’ve had some better pizza but this slice is definitely well above average so that’s why it gets an 8 in my book.
Overall, between the food, the service, pricing, and atmosphere, Tony’s gets a 9 from me. Just overall excels in all departments.
