On May 15th, Playa Bowls opened a location in Tarrytown. The long-awaited opening has resulted in many Irvington students trying out the smoothies and bowls.

Their menu offers a plethora of acai bowls, pitaya bowls, coconut bowls, chia, oatmeal, smoothies, juices, and more. Their Instagram-worthy bowls are perfect for the upcoming summer weather.

Karli John, a junior at Irvington High School tried out a pitaya bowl.

She said, “I got the Dragonberry Pitaya bowl with peanut butter! It was delicious and really refreshing on a warm day like today. The fruit was definitely fresh and the color of the bowl was a picture-worthy pink! The only drawback for me is the price. It was about $14 plus tip for the bowl (no drink). I will definitely go back again, but only as a treat due to the price.”

Although the price is a drawback to the products on their menu, their bowls and smoothies are definitely worth a try.
