Recently, the district has announced that before this February break, COVID-19 test kits are going to be given out to every student. Test kits are scheduled to arrive on campus by Wednesday for distribution to students on Thursday, 2/17 in English classes.
On Thursday, February 17th the Irvington UFSD will distribute two COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits that include two tests per kit to each student and staff member. The District requests that all students and staff members test on Sunday, February 27, 2022 prior to returning to school on Monday, February 28, 2022. If staff receives a positive test result, they are asked to report it to their district administration.
Testing can help tremendously with preventing a large outbreak of COVID-19, to learn who has and doesn’t have COVID-19. These actions are what will finally put an end to this now 2-years long global pandemic.
