Senior Charlotte Calick ended her final Irvington Varsity Tennis season with huge success.
Since freshman year, Calick has been recognized as the Rivertowns Tennis Player of the Year. She has been playing tennis since age four, and her commitment and motivation is evident in her impressive accomplishments throughout the years.
Calick’s extensive training has included training at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy (since 2012). She credits her success to her longtime coach, Alberto Romea, along with Irvington’s own, Gina Maher.
Calick has completed her Senior season undefeated, with wins against Dobbs Ferry, Tuckahoe, Rye Neck, Woodlands, and Westlake, to name a few.
Charlotte found her final tennis season somewhat bittersweet.
“I think the season went really well, and all the girls on the team had an amazing season. Personally I was really proud of how I played, and I am excited to leave Irvington on a good note.”
