The 2026-27 budget vote and election of the board of education members took place on May 19th. The proposed budget passed 367 to 120 and Brian Friedman, Dympna Kenny and Rachael Maglienti were elected to serve on the board of education
The total proposed budget for this year totaled out to be $82,471,960 which is $2,895,560 more than this year’s budget.
The BOE holds responsibility for numerous things including establishing district policies and goals, setting the annual school budget, and hiring/analyzing the superintendent of Irvington.
