The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team has battled for their 5-4 record. In the past few weeks, the girls have played six games, winning three and losing three.
The Bulldogs played North Salem at home on March 30 and won, giving them a record of 3-1. Sophomore goalie, Mia Cantillana had an incredible 7 saves throughout this game.
The girls then played Harrison and White Plains in early April, dropping to both teams, but putting up a strong fight.
“The losses fueled the whole team to work harder in practices which paid off in the end.” said sophomore Tessa McRae.
Despite these tough, back to back losses, the Bulldogs came back with a bang, beating Edgemont 15-3 at home on April 13. With an early 3-0 lead, and a score of 8-1 at halftime, the Bulldog defense played a very impressive game.
They further moved to drop to Fox Lane on April 15, however beat Byram Hills 13-10 on April 17, leaving them with a current record of 5-4.
