Noah Kahan, a singer-songwriter from Vermont who has had a few hit songs in past years, has recently been growing in popularity. You may know him already for his songs “Hurt Somebody” (which features Julia Michaels), “False Confidence”, and “Young Blood”; however, his new song, “Stick Season” which came out this past July, has been climbing its way up Spotify charts.

The song “Stick Season” is about the feeling of being left behind and stuck in a place in your life which brings about conflicting emotions. Kahan says, “It’s about seeing the other side of a place you thought was only beautiful. As a relationship ends, some place or someone you used to look back at so fondly quickly transforms into a memory of pain.” But, after pain and sorrow comes light and hope, which he also touches on in the song. As the weather gets cooler with fall right around the corner, “Stick Season” is the perfect song to add to your playlist.

His newest song titled “Northern Attitude” just came out September 16, 2022. Kahan sings about the feeling of isolation while on a journey of self discovery, and opening yourself to love, no matter what you may discover about yourself on that journey. He first revealed a small portion of the song on his TikTok account, where he actively creates content and interacts with fans. Before the full song was even released, fans on the app were already making covers and connecting to the song.

Kahan is certainly keeping his fans happy, as his new album entitled Stick Season is to be released October 14, 2022. Both “Northern Attitude” and “Stick Season” are included on the album, along with 12 other unreleased tracks. His rather small, yet devoted fan base is eagerly counting down the days until the release date.

If you are a fan of artists like Hozier, Vance Joy, JP Saxe, or Bon Iver, you definitely should give Noah Kahan a listen, and add his album release date to your calendar.
