On Sunday February 8, 2026, Bad Bunny performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. The performance comes just a week after Bad Bunny became the first artist to win the Grammy for a Spanish language album of the year with his amazing Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
This halftime show was one like no other. Bad Bunny had an intricate set, from sugar cane fields to represent the colonization of Puerto Rico, to a wedding ceremony set up, where a couple got married and another couple got engaged.
“What I loved about Bad Bunny’s show was the uniqueness that it had. The stage design, the Latino culture, it was amazing,” said junior Dash Oke.
I also liked the uniqueness of this performance. I thought it was very cool to see the Latino culture Bad Bunny used in his show.
Bad Bunny brought out a lot of Latino guests. Bad Bunny had a group of Lanitno dancers with him, and he brought out many Latino icons in the crowd at the wedding, including Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Karol G and many more.
Bad Bunny also brought out multiple musical guests including Puerto Rican artist Ricky Martin and a very surprising guest, Lady Gaga. Gaga performed her hit song “Die with a smile” with a salsa-inspired beat.
Bad Bunny performed new hits from his last album Debí Tirar Más Fotos and other popular songs of his.
The setlist included: Tití Me Preguntó, Yo Perreo Sola, Safaera, Party, VOY A LLeVARTE PA PR, Daddy Yankee’s Gasolina, EoO, MONACO, BAILE INoLVIDABLE, NUEVAYoL, LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii, El Apagón, CAFé CON RON and DtMF.
“I enjoyed the tracklist a lot, but I wish he played better songs that he has,” said junior Sebastian Binns.
I liked this setlist a lot, but I would have loved it if Bad Bunny had performed “Chambers” and “Moscow Mule”. “Chambers” has an energetic beat that gets crows moving, and “Moscow Mule” is a very calm and soothing song.
Ultimately, Bad Bunny conveyed two important messages stating “Together, we are America” and “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.” These messages are very important and were made in hope to unite America.
Overall, I thought this halftime show might have been the best I have ever watched and I think it was a great decision by the NFL to expand and try something new.
