Mr. Beast Cannonballs into Starbucks

By Anna Rushton

Recently, on July 14th, 2026, MrBeast collaborated with Starbucks to create the “Cannon Ball Refresher,” which was released nationwide for everyone to try. Being the first official branded drink with Starbucks, he created it to celebrate the launch of the second season of his show, “Beast Games.” This partnership aimed to not only promote his show, but also to symbolize a “recharge” drink for the contestants in the show.

The name “cannonball” comes from one of the episodes on the Beast Games called the “Cannon Ball Challenge.” Within this challenge, contestants were competing for a whopping 1.8 million dollar private island by finding 10 cannon balls around the set. The first 10 people who found one of the cannon balls advanced to the next round. At the end of the challenge, Ian Weber (player 148) won the challenge, bringing home 1.8 million dollars rather than the private island. However, in this same episode, August Auger (player 172) took home a starbucks for life gift card.

The drink allegedly tastes very bold with tart lemonade and very sweet strong hints of strawberry. It’s a mixture of lemonade, Strawberry Acai Refresher base, and Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher base. The color is a light pinkish purple layered ombre drink, and available with add-ins of pieces of dragonfruit and strawberry.

This limited-time drink at Starbucks has gotten mixed reactions from the public. Despite its popularity, some argue that the drink is too sweet, while others claim its refreshing and a visually appealing drink. Although I haven’t personally tried this drink yet, I think I’d like it because I love sweet drinks and also am a huge fan of the Strawberry Acai Refresher. However, senior Ryan Cherry, who tried the drink, had this to say about it: “It was really exquisitely refreshing and right when it touched my mouth, my thirst was immediately quenched. I definitely recommend it!!

Like most Starbucks drinks, there are 4 sizes: Tall, grande, venti, and trenta. For the cannonball drink specifically, a tall is $4.95, a grande is $5.25, a venti is $5.75, and a trenta is $6.25.

Overall, this drink seems to be pretty good, and I hope that I get the chance to try it before it’s expected to leave menus around February 25th, 2026.
