This year’s Club Fair filled the quad with energy, excitement, posters, presentations, and more free candy than anyone knew what to do with. Students crowded around tables checking out the many different opportunities. From Robotics Club to Dungeons and Dragons Club there was always an option for everyone. Each table had student representatives eager to recruit new members and explain what makes their club the best and why you should pick it.
Sophomore Henry Mcfeetors in the Student Council said, “ I joined the architecture club because I love solving problems, especially real world problems. Working with a team of others who share the same interest is always the best and keeps you productive.” When asked about one thing they think they can change about the club fair for next year he replied with, “Maybe one thing they can change for next year was the location. I think it was really cramped in the quad and you can’t get a real idea of all the clubs when you’re sometimes cramped into one space.”
On the other hand, from Sophomore Jake Piersol’s point of view, he thought the organization was much better this year: “I liked the way the clubs were formatted this year as opposed to last year. I think last year a lot of similar clubs were close to each other not showing off the wide variety. However, this year there was a great mixture of different styles of clubs that honed in on different people and different skills.”
For many students, the fair is a great chance to see just how many opportunities High School has to offer. Whether it’s performing on a stage, competing academically, or helping the community, this year’s club fair proved that High School is more than classes; it can really be figuring out who you are as a person.
