Cookies, brownies, and cupcakes are among the treats that will be for sale on November 21 and 22 at the PTSA’s bake sale to raise money for the Bulldog Family Fund.
The sale, which will take place from 2:35 to 4:00pm in the Irvington High School Atrium and at the Irvington Middle School turf, is one of several fundraisers held by the PTSA for the Bulldog Family Fund.
The fund, also known as the BFF, benefits families in the district in need of financial support, raising $30,000 for these families in the last school year alone. Some of the funds were used to, among other things, provide food, clothes, school supplies, sports equipment, and field trip fees for students in the district.
“It is overall very important because it helps families in need in our community so they can participate in the same activities everyone else does.” says Joanna Anemodouras, vice president of the PTSA for the high school.
If you think you’re a family that may qualify for financial support through the BFF, more information is available on the Irvington PTSA website, and all applications and assistance are confidential.
It’s vital that we support those in our community that we consider friends and family. The BFF is solely funded by donations from within the district, with every dollar going to someone in our community. To make a donation, head to the atrium or turf for the bake sale or visit irvingtonnyptsa.org to give a donation directly.
