Homecoming: Preview

With homecoming around the corner, there are many exciting games coming up. 

The football team is looking to build on their strong start with their game on Saturday October fifth at seven P.M. against the Croton Tigers.

Starting quarterback Chris Callahan exclaimed that the football team is “different from last year,” and that he “can’t wait for homecoming.” The junior is looking forward to bouncing back on his second homecoming start after a disappointing result in 2023. 

Next up, the 2022 state champion Varsity Girls soccer team will take on Hastings on October eighth at seven P.M. 

Led by senior captain Allie Cloutman who said “I’m so excited for our homecoming game, the team is going to put up a fight.” Allie, one of the 4 remaining players from the state championship team, is hungry to show the high level that they are capable of showing. 

On the seventh of October, the boys soccer team is looking to show what they can do in their third homegame of the season. Their clash with Albertus Magnus will take place at seven on Monday night. Led by star senior winger Massimo Ferrari the boys soccer team will look to continue on their recent trend of positive results against the Falcons.

Girls tennis looks to improve on their impressive record against Westlake on October first.

The cross-country team, led by duo Declan Lyons and Anish Joshi will run in the Rivertowns cup on October fifth at 10 A.M.

Volleyball will participate in the first of the homecoming games on September 30th against Croton.

Finally, the Field Hockey team will face Albertus Magnus on the ninth of October, despite a slow start to the season the field hockey team is looking forward to turning their season around.
