Last year, the Irvington community crowded around the screen at the Student Academic Commons to watch the gripping matches of the World Cup. Right now, the same atmosphere is brewing, this time for March Madness. In the past, many students bonded by comparing brackets, arguing about upsets, and discussing gripping statistics and highlights. However, now we can all experience the excitement together, in real time.
As mentioned above, the viewing will happen in the SAC or Student Academic Commons, the perfect atmosphere for such an event. With abundant furniture, the commons is a comfortable watching environment. With ample space and a large screen, many students will be able to share this experience together.
The architect of this event, Mr. Hirsch, shared his thoughts.
“I came up with this event to bring people together, share cultural events, and utilize the academic commons as it’s a new space for us.”
Overall, live streaming March Madness is a great opportunity to bring the school community together and ultimately have fun.
