Irvington CAB/iAsk Take ‘Steps’ to Inspire Students

by Harlan Flamm

On October 31st 2023, most people had Halloween on their minds. However, contrasting with this Halloween “fear”, the Irvington Community Advisory Board (CAB) and iAsk, in partnership with the district’s building and grounds staff, installed new vinyl step decal to lift the mood of every student when they first enter the school in the morning.

Addressing the poor mental health epidemic among teenagers, the Irvington CAB and iAsk decided to deliver an empowering message to every student, every day. These messages range from “You are enough” to the clever quip “One step at a time.”

Another cool feature of the steps is that the Irvington Bulldog logo will change in size depending on distance from the steps. The farther you are, the bigger the bulldog logo appears.

This is just another step that the Irvington CAB and iAsk is taking to enhance the student experience and make sure everyone is taken care of.

The Irvington Athletic Department added the new Bulldog arch for the unveiling of the step installation on Nov. 1.
