He first posted saying the official release date would be September 22. But, many were devastated when he took to instagram posting on Friday, September 15 that it would be postponed to October 6.

He wrote on his Instagram story as follows, “Okay my dilemma I am faced with is either cancel shows to finish the album or I complete the mission and drop the album before the last show, I owe you all these memories we are building and anywhere we have missed to date we will be spinning back for sure.” He concluded the post, writing, “For All the Dogs October 6th. It’s only right…”  Following this he dropped a new single,  “Slime You Out” featuring SZA. Which already has 29 million streams on Spotify alone. This new album marks the eighth of his studio albums, and the cover features a drawing from Drake’s 5 year old son, Adonis.
