As of August 28 Irvington schools has had a new acting superintendent.
Dr. Harrison is currently on leave because of a personal health matter, so,the district has added a new acting superintendent until he comes back.
The Board of Education appointed Dr. Joel Adelberg as the acting superintendent for Irvington Union Free School District. Dr. Adelberg has 40 years of educational experience; he was recently retired from a superintendent position in the Bedford Central School District, and has come out of retirement to lead our school during Dr. Harrison’s absence.
According to the memo announcing his appointment, Dr. Adelburg is “excited to lend his expertise and experience to supporting our district during this important time.”
