On Tuesday, March 28th Track and Field had their first meet of the spring season, hosted at Hastings High School. Irvington, Hastings, Greenburgh and Dobbs Ferry competed in this meet.
Irvington came out very successful. Junior Taoig Cypher won the 400 meter with a 54.7 time. Junior Indy Minkoff was also successful in the 2 mile tempo with a time of 10:40. All three of the Irvington relay teams — the 4×100, 4×400 and 4×800 — finished in first place.
Additionally, seniors Miles Demarest and Kyli Parsons won in the 800 meter and the high jump, respectively. Demarest finished with a time of 2:09 and Parsons jumped 4 feet, 4.5 inches.
This meet was a very outstanding way for the spring track team to kick off their spring season.
