Girls Varsity Lacrosse Season Jumps Off

by Kate McLaughlin

The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team has begun their season in a successful manner. The girls have gone above and beyond in their practices and preseason in hopes of a victorious season.

They have played one scrimmage as well as three regular season games. They faced Sleepy Hollow in their scrimmage on March 20 at home on Mesaros Field and defeated the Horsemen.

The girls played at home against Eastchester in their game on March 22, and Hastings away on March 25. Both games ended with a victory for the Bulldogs.

They lost their first game at home on March 28. They dropped to Horace Greeley 16-8, though the Bulldogs put up a very impressive fight. The girls now stand with a record of 2-1.

“I’m really looking forward to this season because we have a great team and a lot of potential. I think we have a shot of having a really successful season so we’re all really excited.” said sophomore, and second year varsity player Alexis Canfin.

The girls will play their next game at home on March 30, against North Salem at 4:30.
