The Bagel Emporium, a small chain of bagel shops, are loved by many across Westchester who go for the thoughtfully crafted bagels prepared behind the counter. The award winning bagels can be found in these charming bagel outlets anywhere from Tarrytown all the way up to Yorktown.
Whether it be during a free period, before school or after a sports practice on a Saturday morning, you can always see Irvington students sitting down and having a bite to eat at Bagel Emporium.
The chain of Bagel shops is owned by the Rozin family, with Michael Rozin and his son Ryan responsible for spreading the shops throughout Westchester. The shop is open from 6 am to 4 pm every day.
On Tuesday, March 14, four members of The Paw Print — Alex Hempstead, Indy Minkoff, Jack van der Spuy and Stu Graeber — took a midday trip to Bagel Emporium to try out some sandwiches and give a proper IrvEats review.
We ordered two sandwiches, which happen to be some of the most popular ones available. Alex tried the sausage, egg, cheese and hash brown on a plain bagel, while Jack feasted on a bacon, egg, cheese and hash brown on a poppy bagel.
Alex Hempstead, 15, described the initial bite of his purchase as “heaven on earth.” Alex rated the pull of the melted cheese as he separated the two sides a 7/10. Finally, as he got farther into the sandwich, he declared that it had exceeded his criteria and announced that it was a 8/10. Jack also gave his sandwich an 8/10.
All in all Bagel Emporium serves the students of Irvington and people of the surrounding area by providing a great casual place to get a great bagel.
