Pre-season has come to a close and the Varsity Girls’ Softball team is getting ready for their first scrimmage against Pleasantville on Tuesday, March 21st.
Throughout pre-season, the team has been diligently practicing in both the Maher Gym and Campus Gym. They’ve also utilized the outdoor space on the track and turf whenever the opportunity arose.
The softball team’s turnout is much bigger in comparison to previous years, with a skilled team and a deeper bench. The versatility of this year’s team makes the season more promising than ever, something agreed by Kate McLaughlin, a junior on the team.
“I’m really looking forward to having a successful season,” says McLaughlin. “I think we have a lot of potential this year, so we are hoping to go far in sectionals and will hopefully be able to play some home games in the playoffs.”
