Ella Jane, who graduated IHS in 2020, is a rising star in the music industry. As of now, she has an EP entitled “THIS IS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE” and an album entitled Marginalia. Jane is in the midst of working on her second album, which has yet to be named. With already having a fair amount of performing experience under her belt after her tour, she is getting ready for her performance at the Governors Ball Music Festival on Sunday, June 11. Performing at this popular New York music festival is a big deal and great achievement for Jane, especially so early on in her career.
According to Jane, music is something she has been interested in since she was young. Her father put her in piano lessons with her twin brother, Sam Roth, when they were little, and has stuck with it ever since.
Through all of these achievements, she has learned a lot. When asked about advice she would give to a person, she discussed the importance of education as well as the importance of taking time off to explore other paths. She advices to go with your gut, as it will lead you down the right path eventually.
We would like to formally thank Ella Jane for taking the time and allowing us to speak with her. She is an inspiration to any young artists and high school students, especially at IHS.
