To recognize Black History Month, the Board of Trustees is honoring Madam C. J. Walker. The ceremony will be held on February 28th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Irvington Village Hall.

The public plaza in front of the Village Hall is being dedicated in her honor. Since Irvington is home to her historic estate, we are holding a ceremony in her honor. The ceremony will recognize her accomplishments and her legacy to our town.

Madam C. J. Walker was the first self-made female millionaire in the US and still inspires people today.
