As the Indoor Track team draws nearer to sectionals, Lila Juenger stands a good chance at finishing off her IHS Indoor track career with a bang.
The Senior, in her fourth year on the team, finished 4th overall in the 1500 meter race walk at the prestigious Hispanic Games, which took place on Saturday, January 7th in the Washington Heights’ Armory, a state-of-the-art Indoor track facility.
Her time of 8:29.99 is a personal record for her, by ten seconds, and is the 2nd fastest time in Section 1 this season. On top of that, this time qualifies her for Nationals, which is an amazing feat for the athlete.
On Wednesday, February 8, the team is facing off at the Section 1 Championship at the Armory, where Juenger is the clear favorite to medal.
