Don’t Worry Darling is a movie directed by Olivia Wilde. It is a horror/thriller and rated R. This movie is very well known partly due to the fact that the popular artist Harry Styles stars in it. With a 38% Rotten Tomato score, the film was released late September 2022.

This movie takes place in an isolated part of the California desert. The town appears unusually perfect and routine based. Everything oddly works out for everyone. The houses are all perfect, every blade of grass on each lawn is perfect, the town functions perfectly, etc. The film is very old fashioned as well, and based from a long time ago. All of the wives stay home and do the cooking and cleaning, while they wait for their husbands to come home from work. Oddly, the work that they all do is a secret to the wives. Suspicion grows as the movie progresses.

Overall the movie is extremely thrilling and creepy, and is a movie sure to send shivers down your spine. It is definitely a movie for those who don’t get scared easily. Tension slowly increases throughout the movie making the movie highly entertaining. Although, the reviews were underwhelming and lower than anticipated.

Although there were certainly viewers who enjoyed the film, there were many viewers who were disappointed. This was a result of the rather sexist plot, represented oppression of women, mediocre acting, and overall confusion. It didn’t quite meet the viewer’s high expectations, or reach its fullest potential, according to critics.
