The Varsity Volleyball Season Is Over!

by Jack Birnbaum

The season for our bulldogs on the volleyball team is over! Wanna see how they did? They’ve had some losses against their biggest competitors, like Albertus Magnus, and Dobbs Ferry. Overall they did pretty well in their season, though they lost four of their first 5 games. They came back though, actually having a .500 record (They had an equal amount of wins and losses at 9-9). Some of their other competitors were Ardsley and Putnam valley.

If you thought that the team looked a little different this year, you’d be right! Only 3 players returned from last year’s Varsity team, so the girls had to learn how to work with a whole new team of players. On top of that, there’s a new coach: Gia Saul!

Coach Saul said that that rough start to their season was hard to deal with, obviously. Her and Team Captain Meika Tomita both loved the progression of the team over the course of the season, and how their girls learned how to work together as a team. She remarked that there were a few bumps in the road as expected (Injuries and the Sort), but the season was overall very smooth.
