This week at Irvington High School, Sophomores had the opportunity to take the pre-ACT. I was one of those Sophomores. As I glanced at the questions in front of me, I thought to myself “why am I putting myself through the stress of taking this test?” Well to be honest, the real reason is that my mom told me to do it and I also wanted to see what it is like to take a test with no fear of getting a bad grade. It is a practice test after all.
I don’t like taking tests, as I typically get nervous and stressed out. I hate the pressure. Even though I knew that the pre-ACT was not a graded test to me it was still a test. Am I alone with this feeling? Are Pre-ACT worth the stress? But I’m glad that I got to experience it after all, and I’ll always remember to always take it easy on myself if I have to take a test or a quiz.
