The greatest sporting event in America, March Madness has been wild so far. As we look ahead to the final three games, the two final four games and the championship, there has been a lot of unprecedented events which have caused people to turn heads.
Of course, the big storyline has been St. Peters, a small team in New Jersey. Not only is St. Peters a small school, but the player lineup itself is very small with the tallest player being six foot, eight inches. This did not stop them from knocking off Kentucky who has a seven foot player who is arguably the best player in all of college basketball. St. Peters then beat Purdue, who has a seven foot, four inch player. St. Peters had this memorable run due to their passion, not their size or skill.
The final four matchups will be Villanova vs Kansas, and the headliner UNC vs Duke. While the Villanova vs Kansas game should be a good one, The UNC vs Duke game may have more viewers than any sporting event outside of the Super Bowl. In Coach K’s final year, Duke will face off UNC in the tournament for the first time in history. The rivals will face off Saturday, April 2nd at 8:49 PM in what should be a game for the ages.
