We recently welcomed Ms. Danielle Pecora as a new member of the Irvington community. Ms. Pecora is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who will be working on our middle and high school campuses. Ms. Pecora began her new role here at Irvington on February 14th.
Before Irvington, Ms. Pecora had a similar job in the Dobbs Ferry School District, and at public schools in Queens, NY and Connecticut. She has considerable experience with program development and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Ms. Pecora got her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego and a Master of Social Work from Adelphi University. We are very fortunate to get the opportunity to work with such an experienced and knowledgeable individual.
Ms. Pecora herself is extremely excited about her new role at Irvington. She said, “I am thrilled to join the Irvington School District community as the new District social worker for the middle school and high school!! The Irvington School District has an amazing reputation for its commitment to academic excellence, in addition to supporting the social emotional needs of students.”
Ms. Pecora has big plans and goals for her time at Irvington. “I am looking forward to working with students and being a part of the Irvington school community to support students’ mental health and wellness needs, while ensuring student voice in the process is a priority”, she said.
Feel free to stop by for support or just for a quick hello with Ms. Pecora in room CM101 (in the music wing). She is looking forward to meeting many Irvington students in the coming months.
