The IHS Student Council runs an Instagram account named @lifeofihs. Throughout this unusual school year, beginning when school was in a hybrid model, they had multiple “Instagram takeovers” as a way to expand their account and create entertaining content for the student body.
A particularly big hit has been the food reviews from junior class president Tommy Flanagan. The reviews, posted on the story feature of their Instagram account, entail videos of him taste testing different cafeteria foods, and then rating them on a scale of 1-10. He has tried cheeseburgers, quesadillas, and french toast sticks to name a few.
“Everyone has responded with enthusiasm to my reviews. I have had tons of people ask me about them and tell me that they love them. I have even had parents that I don’t know approach me, asking me about my reviews. I was very surprised at how fast it grew,” Flanagan stated.
Flanagan has been approached by The Paw Print about perhaps continuing the reviews next year for our site or for The Paw Print on Instagram if @lifeofihs discontinues the popular feature.
