No More Flex Wednesdays

Students participate in in-person learning

By Laila Zukerman

Starting Wednesday, March 24th, there will no longer be “Flex Wednesdays.”

Flex Wednesdays, the completely virtual half day students have had on the schedule since the beginning of the year, is being phased out via two early release days on the Wednesdays before and after Spring Break. And not everybody is sad to see them go.

Senior and school secretary/treasurer Sophie Regal said, “Although I’ve enjoyed the relaxing Flex Wednesdays, I couldn’t be more excited to get back to school full time and get a normal end of senior year”

According to the email Doctor Harrison sent out on March 10th, the reopening committee met to finalize the plan of  return of full student attendance five days a week starting on April 12.

The schedule in the email stated that there will be a transition from Flex Wednesdays to early dismissal. On March 24th, Cohort B will be in person for the morning only. That day the school will follow an early dismissal schedule with shortened periods. This will continue on April 7th, the day after break, when Cohort A will be in person following the same schedule.

Ultimately this is a small preview of the full schedule change that will be taking place on April 12th. These changes will be made subject to the delivery of the desk barriers.
