This week in food reviews, I tried “Little B’s” in Tarrytown. Little B’s is located on Main Street in Tarrytown, just a block over from Main Street Sweets. I’ve been going to Little B’s since I was about five or six.
The first thing you notice when you call to place your order is the kind, patient, and respectful staff that are at the phone. When we order takeout it’s usually a large order so we always appreciate it when the staff is kind and doesn’t rush us off the phone.
Something Little B’s can improve on is estimating their wait times. It can be very frustrating when a restaurant tells you 30 minutes until you order will be ready and it ends up being 45. Thankfully, due to their efficiency, I only had to wait an extra five minutes. As a host of a restaurant and knowing how a restaurant works, no matter how much you complain about the wait times, the restaurant cannot do anything about the times because the food has to be cooked. It’s that simple.
When I went a few weeks ago, I had the Angus beef burger with American cheese, caramelized onions, and truffle mayo. Little B’s never disappoints. The burger was juicy, the truffle mayo was absolutely delicious, and the onions were caramelized perfectly.
When we got home, the first thing I realized was that the burger’s presentation was a little messy. Nonetheless, the burger still tasted great.
I give this burger a 10/10. I will definitely be back soon and if you haven’t tried it yet, go over to Little B’s and get yourself a burger!
