Giants Just Miss in the ‘NFC Least’

By Trevor Annicharico

The Giants had been in a great position all year because of the NFC East. The NFC East has been extremely bad, so bad that the 6-9 Giants were still in the division championship race on the last day of the regular season.

They needed to win against the Dallas Cowboys, which they did 23 to 19, but the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Washington Football Team, which eliminated the Giants from the playoffs.

There was a lot of controversy in the game because Eagles coach Doug Peterson benched rising star Jalen Hurts in the third quarter, and many people believed that he did this move to get a better draft pick. Many Giants players took to social media that their dreams and hopes of going to the playoffs were crushed because of the move to tank for a draft pick.

Overall the Giants had an uneven season going 6-10, but showing promise for the seasons to come with head coach Joe Judge impressing in a first year.

The Giants will pick 11th in the 2021 NFL draft.
