This year NHS members are helping teachers prepare their students for upcoming midterms by providing tutoring services for students. Students from all grades will be able to ask their teachers about study sessions this week if they want the extra help.
“We are going to do a skill study group for freshman, but we are also doing review in any subject for other students so it’s open for everyone,” says Ms. Lyons, the NHS tutoring advisor.
She plans to arrange the tutoring sessions so that different NHS students will be tutoring in different subjects. She says that “certain classrooms are dedicated to a certain subject area.”
She hopes that students can “feel more comfortable coming to a certain room,” instead of going to the library and being confused with all the different subject tutors.
Students can find more information about tutoring by asking their teachers or Ms. Lyons about tutoring locations for their desired subject.
