Professional golfer Tiger Woods has been riddled with back injuries over the last five years. Although he has played in PGA (Professional Golfers Association) tour events in that five-year span, his most recent return has been different. Tiger Woods is playing the way he did before his back surgeries.
Tiger Woods is considered one of the best, if not, the best golfer ever. He recently played in the Valspar Championship and Arnold Palmer invitational in back-to-back weeks and he will rest up for what is considered the most prestigious annual golf tournament in the world, the Masters. Each year, there are four majors and the Masters is one of them. At 21 years old, he became the youngest golfer to win the Masters.
Nowadays, he is doubled in age at 42 years old as he looks to win another major. Tiger Woods hasn’t won a major since 2008 and is second all-time with 14 wins in majors. He also needs three more PGA tour victories to tie the all-time leader Sam Snead. With the way Woods has played recently, it is very possible.
In the Valspar Championship from March 8th to 11th, he finished tied for second place out of over one hundred golfers with a score of nine under par on a rigorous golf course. A week later, he played in the Arnold Palmer where he finished tied for fifth place with a score of 10 under par.
According to the ESPN, Tiger Woods is the favorite to win the Masters. Tiger Woods is back and so is golf. Tiger Woods brings so many viewers and is a huge reason why the golf rating are higher than ever.
Hopefully, he makes the cut so he can wear his red on the Sunday of the Masters. Tiger Woods wears a red shirt and black pants on every Sunday of every golf tournament that he makes the cut in. It has become known as “victory red” and it seems that he may still have some victories left in him.
